LUX HELSINKI 2026 - CHAPTERS

2026

Chapters is a site-specific projection mapping artwork created for Lux Helsinki 2026, exploring time, memory, and the layered nature of urban architecture. The piece transforms a familiar façade into a narrative surface, where light, motion, and sound unfold as a continuous visual story within the cityscape.

The artwork was designed by Max Lapinsuo-Sylwén, visual designer at Capital Creative. Chapters brings together cinematic projection, laser elements, and an original soundtrack composed specifically for the work, forming an immersive experience that reacts to both the architecture and the surrounding environment.

Capital Creative was responsible for the visual concept and artistic design of the piece, shaping the narrative, visual language, and overall experience from the earliest stages. The full technical production including 8 4K projectos, lasers, sound system and media servers was delivered by Capital AV, ensuring a reliable and precise execution in demanding winter conditions.

Chapters stands as an example of how architectural surfaces can become storytelling platforms — blending visual art, technology, and sound into a unified public artwork that invites audiences to pause, reflect, and experience the city in a new way.
