HELSINKI NEW YEAR 24-25
2024
The Helsinki New Year’s Concert is a staple event to mark the turn of the year, and we were honored to once again take charge of its visual design for the 2025 celebration. Held at Kansalaistori in the heart of Helsinki, this event drew a massive live audience of 75,000 people and was broadcast to over a million viewers across Finland.
Our role included the full stage design, light programming and the creation of all screen content for the concert. With an impressive lineup of artists such as Mirella, Sara Siipola, Anssi Kela, and Windows95Man, the show demanded a dynamic and visually stunning setup that would work seamlessly for both the live audience and TV cameras.
One of the unique challenges of this project was designing for a dual-purpose experience: ensuring the stage looked spectacular on-site while maintaining its visual appeal for the televised broadcast. Adding to the complexity were the freezing winter temperatures, which added a layer of technical and logistical considerations. Despite these challenges, we delivered a visually cohesive and impactful design that elevated every performance and contributed to the energy of the celebration.
This event is a year-long effort for us, involving careful collaboration with Helsingin tapahtumasäätiö to align our creative vision with their goals. From concept development to final execution, our team worked tirelessly to bring this iconic New Year’s event to life.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Helsingin Uusivuosi for trusting us once again and to Capital AV for executing the technical production flawlessly. This collaboration is always a highlight of our year and a spectacular way to close it out with a true bang!
